Dr. Hahn at the Lowell Inventors' Fair     On July 1, 2022, Dr. Heidi Hahn assumed the role of Superintendent of Brainerd Public Schools.

Dr. Hahn has over 26 years in the District, serving as the Assistant Superintendent of Schools, the Director of Special Education for the Paul Bunyan Education Cooperative, and has worked in elementary, high school, and alternative education settings throughout her tenure.

She completed her doctoral work at St. Cloud State University in Education Administration and Leadership. Dr. Hahn’s doctoral research focused on Leadership Practices and their Impact on Employee Job Satisfaction. The premise - “The quality of the system is only as good as the quality of its employees” (Fullen, 2008) continues to be the focus and drive for Dr. Hahn’s daily professional work and research.

Dr. Hahn is the 2014 Recipient of the Richard Green Scholar award for her doctoral research in the area of leadership practices and their impact on teacher job satisfaction. In addition, she was named Brainerd Educator of the Year and awarded the Minnesota New Leader in Special Education in 2015 for exemplary leadership and service. Dr. Hahn has served as an adjunct professor at St. Cloud State University in the Education Administration and Leadership department for the past nine years.
