Non-Food Rewards 

  • Birthday Books: Instead of a food treat, your student may treat the class to a new or used book, wrapped in birthday paper. After your child unwraps the book, it will be read to their group and either returned to home or may be donated the the classroom library. 
  • Extra outside time
  • Extra reading/Music time with teacher
  • Leadership activities: Lunch with the principal, principal for the day
  • Minute to win it Parties: Google for game ideas
  • Walk to the Park: for example, Lum Park has frisbee golf
  • Science Experiments
  • Art Projects

According to the BPS Wellness Policy, candy, sweets and sodas for parties and rewards are no longer acceptable. Due to the increasing number of food allergies, please check with your students teacher for a pre approved list of snacks.
