New Bus Equipment
Seon Bus Camera Surveillance systems were installed on all contracted Regular and Special Needs buses during the summer of 2011.
These systems were also installed on District Van's and Suburban’s that are used to transport students. Bus camera Surveillance
systems can help promote a safe environment for both students and bus drivers. For further information regarding the camera
system go to www.seon.com
Dorn Child check systems were installed on all contracted Regular and Special Needs buses over the summer. This device
reminds the driver to move to the rear of the bus at the end of their route to conduct a search for any child that may still be on the
bus. For further information regarding the Child check system go to http://www.doranmfg.com/sleepingchildcheck.htm
Crossing arms were installed on all contracted Regular bus routes over the summer.Crossing arms were mounted on the
front bumper of the school bus. The arm is activated when the bus driver activates their warning lights, when the driver
opens the bus door the arm extends approximately six feet in front of the bus. This is so that children walk a safe distance
away from the front of the school bus.
