This is my 16th year teaching in the Brainerd school district. I spent the first 9 years at Franklin Junior High and moved over to South Campus when Franklin shut its doors. I attended UND in Grand Forks for the first two years of my college career, transferring over to BSU in Bemidji in 1994. I actually did my student teaching here in Brainerd in 1996. I received my Masters Degree in Science Education from SCSU in 2003.

I am married to Greg Gearey, a 9-12 math teacher. We have 3 little girls who keep us VERY busy!! Annika is 7, Greta is 5 1/2 and Elaina is 3. We have a lot of fun with them.
