Brainerd Public Schools Offer Free Meals this Summer

Planning a picnic in the park or just need a place to beat the summer heat? Brainerd Public Schools and Operation Sandwich are hosting free meals this summer for all children 18 years and under.

Stop by the Washington Education Building for breakfast and swing back through for lunch. Breakfast is served from 8:30-9 a.m. and lunch is offered from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Food items include some kid favorites, as well as special food days, and taste testing days. Brainerd Public Schools and Operation Sandwich also deliver free meals at a variety of sites. Bagged lunches are available in conjunction with Operation Sandwich at Garfield (12:15-12:40 p.m.), Harrison (12:45-1:15 p.m.) and two new sites, including Gregory Park (12:40-1:20 p.m.) and Crow Wing Town Hall (11:45 a.m. to 12:10 p.m.).
